This question is usually addressed to especially experienced candidates, but that doesn't mean freshers don't run into this question. This question allows the recruiter to understand how you define success. The recruiter is trying to assess your past achievements and determine whether you will be driven to achieve positive outcomes in the future. You should always answer yes and briefly explain why. A good explanation is that you have set goals for yourself, achieved some of them, and are on your way to achieving others. If you answer No to this question, then that sounds as though you do not think highly of yourself. Give a philosophical answer to this question.
Give examples of how you have been successful throughout your career, but don't be arrogant. Success doesn't necessarily mean "winning", it can often be defined by how well you've achieved your goals.
General Tips:
Sample Answer: Yes, I consider myself a successful person, because I have achieved all the goals that I set in my life. It does not mean that I never faced failure or never committed any mistake but finally I got success in whatever I had chosen to do.
